The 2019 estimated population was 94,763, making Roswell the state's eighth-largest city. A suburb of Atlanta, Roswell has an affluent historic district.

There are notable tourist places throughout Roswell including the Roswell Mill, Chattahoochee River National Recreation Area, and The Computer Museum of America.

The Roswell Recreation, Parks, Historic and Cultural Affairs Department proudly maintains more than 900 acres of parkland, as well as three historic house museums (A Southern Trilogy).

Each April, the city hosts the annual Johns Creek International Festival. In 2017, over 23,000 visitors attended the event. This free community event features restaurants and food trucks, vendors, international beer and wine garden, live music and dance performances, and fun kids’ activities.
